Phoenix Garden Design Ltd. started life in
2003 as Phoenix Gardening which offered design, consultation, planting and project management. As the business grew, good contractors capable of working to our high standards were very difficult to find. Therefore it was decided to expand the business to include all aspects of the installation and that we would build a team around us to ensure that our work is completed to the highest standard.
Kay Floyd – Designer
Kay started Phoenix Garden Design with the intention of providing creative and practical design and advice tailored to the needs of the customer.
Kay has a strong sense of simplicity and practicality with the overall design of the garden but includes details to give each garden impact and uniqueness. Her work is characterized by the inclusion of flowing lines in borders and hard landscaping which add interest and movement to a garden. Kay strongly believes in incorporating the style or material that best suits your home and garden, as well as the wider local environment, into your finished design. She is well known for her detailed plant knowledge and the impact and harmony of her planting solutions. She has a keen interest in the use of native species when appropriate.
Kay follows the progress of your garden development from conception to completion and works on projects of all sizes in Oxfordshire and surrounding counties. We have many returning customers and can work on your project in phases or as a complete transformation.
Kay re-trained as a Garden Designer after successful careers in the public sector and higher education and has gardened all her life.
Mark Floyd – Chief Landscaper
Mark has studied at both Capel Manor and Pershore Colleges and has built up considerable expertise in all aspects of landscape work. Always a perfectionist, Mark ensures that the installation remains faithful to both the spirit and the drawing of the design. He also ensures that all the work during the build is completed to the highest quality. Mark comes to Phoenix Garden Design after a successful business career and is a Director of the company.
